About me
'I work together with inspiring and motivated people to create impact for a cleaner and more honest world.'
This is my personal mission.
Working together in a motivated, multidisciplinary team on a common goal gives me energy. I am a curious person and I love to learn. My professional career and personal life are a clear reflection of this desire to explore. I have worked and studied in and with cultural diverse teams since the year 2000 in a number of countries.
The prospect of international adventure and the combination of high tech science with geology is what drew me into a career as a petroleum engineer in the international oil- and gas industry.
My travels and my introduction to surfing inspired me to move from industry into environmental engineering with a focus on water.
10 years down the line and a very satisfying career in Dutch water policy under the belt, I decided to embark on a next adventure as freelance consultant.
I love to make an impact. I believe that the basis of policy and strategy is research and a solid analysis. But the proces, organization and culture is equally as important to create lasting impact. I have experienced that within an organization it is not always easy to prioritze these processes. As a freelancer I want to connect to different organizations to bring together perpectives.
Professional values:
Integrity, quality, creativity, hands-on.
My love for nature and the outdoor is an important drive for my professional career.
